THE AIR NORMAND&CIE PDE IS IN FACT A PDIE The Air Normand&Cie PDE, launched in 2007, is in fact a PDIE – a Plan de Déplacement Inter-Entreprises (Inter-Company Travel Plan) –, because it brings together the employees of Air Normand’s neighbouring* companies in a collective approach. Its purpose is to optimise all travel, and in particular travel between home and workplace, by encouraging modes other than “solo” vehicle travel. Examples are:
- public transportation
- bicycling
- walking
- car pooling, etc.
In addition to setting a good example, these aid with present and/or future parking problems. And added to these advantages are savings on the travel budget for employees who take part in the process, reduction of stress and time lost in traffic jams… and above all, in fine, taking part in an action that contributes to better air quality! Objective Involve at least 50% of employees; to do this, an action plan has been implemented (covering the years 2009 to 2012), comprising symbolic, incentive, event-oriented and informative measures. Examples that could be cited include organising luncheon-hour mini-conferences (exposure to pollution in the car interior, telework, etc.), awareness-raising days (bicycles in the city, eco-driving, etc.) A newsletter, Bon pied Bon œil, is also published regularly.
